With a reputation for her polished live act and spectacular voice, pop/soul songstress L.A. Mitchell has become one of the most in-demand musicians in the country.
Her last release ‘When Its All Too Much’ off the Concept EP #2 was recently nominated on the Silver Scrolls top 20 long list. Her current release Apple heart was single of the week in Rip IT Up Magazine, and is C4TV video of the week.Alongside her own writing and these releases in 2009 she was named first songwriter in residence at Auckland University. L.A. also tours with A Hori Buzz and Sola Rosa and is a member of Dukes, Fly My Pretties and Dave Dobbyn’s band. She opened for Stevie Wonder and Lionel Richie at their New Zealand shows and Dukes supported Blondie and Pretenders.
L.A. has performed with Bic Runga, Tim Finn, Guy Sebastian, Dane Rumble, Stan Walker and the Urban Soul Orchestra (U.K).
L.A. Mitchell has released two self-produced albums and has collaborated on two EPs with electronic producers Isaac Aesili and D:UNK.
