Communicating Through Movement and Space has been Postponed to the last two Saturdays of March
This workshop will take people from where they are and bring them to explore, attune and develop a heightened awareness of themselves and their bodies in space. How do we take this exploration and either exaggerate or minimise it to release: the innocent, the thwarted, the courageous, the tender, or the comedic being through play and dance.
What is the effect of an imbalance or an unexpected move? Does it lead towards caricature and quirk? How does it feel to move without thinking?
Sarah Pratt has worked as a classical and contemporary dancer and actor. Currently, Sarah runs solspace; multi-activity and wellbeing studio in Whangarei CBD. Sarah finds great pleasure in movement; the beauty, the lightness, the harshness, the unexpected and all the colours that appear in between.
