The smoke-free complex will become a hub for community sports, events and programmes, with QLDC also proposing to offer social sport leagues later in the year. Whether you wish to shoot a few hoops, hold a tournament or arrange weekly training, Wanaka Recreation Centre offers a variety of options and equipment to suit locals and visitors alike.
In the coming months an artificial turf for hockey, netball and tennis will be complete and a new aquatic facility will be opening alongside in September 2017. Other sports fields will be added to the facility progressively over time.
