Join us for this powerful, 3 hour breathwork ceremony, space for you to drop into a deep meditative or altered state of consciousness where you can access joy, clarity, inner guidance, unlock grief, anger or sadness from the emotional body. Breathwork is a powerful modality for emotional and spiritual healing as well as gaining clarity.
This breathwork ceremony is designed to meet you where you are at and to empower with your own BREATH!
Our breath is our life force, we breathe in oxygen created by plants and trees in the ngāhere which helps to fuel us every day without us having to think about it. Our breath is an indication of our overall health and wellbeing.
How deeply do we breathe or is our breath more shallow?
Breathwork is a modality that can be used to support our health, mauri and emotional self. You will be guided through a 60 minute breathwork journey as well as learn ways to support yourself day to day at home.
Who is facilitating?
Loren Honey is facilitating this breathwork ceremony. She has been practicing breathwork for 3 years and has supported her friend’s sold-out breathwork workshops in New Zealand and Australia. She is a qualified breathwork practitioner and completed her training with Clarity Breathwork. She will have some other humans there to support everyone on the day so you will be safely held through this space
What to bring;
Please bring your yoga mat if you have one, a blanket (during the breathwork journey your body temperature may go up or down), a water bottle, pen and paper
Who is it for?
If your reading this then you’re either curious about trying breathwork or you already have experienced conscious connected breathwork and want to dive deeper while in a safely held container like this. Welcome!
If you are new to breathwork and you feel nervous about attending please know that is so normal and you will be so safely held within this space by Loren and her team of support people. You are so welcome to get in touch with Loren directly and ask any questions about it.
Who is it not for?
If you have any of the below contraindications listed below then this might not be the best option for you. If you aren't sure or have any questions about any of these please email Loren directly email@example.com. In some situations, such as pregnancy, you may still be able to do a more gentle form of breathwork which Loren can support you with.
Note: Breathwork results in certain specific physiological changes in the body and also can result in intense physical and emotional release. As a precaution, the following conditions are contraindicated in certain breathwork practices. It is crucial that you inform your breathwork practitioner if any of the following conditions are relevant to you:
- Pregnancy (at any stage)
- Severe PTSD or trauma
- Currently using recreational drugs
- Taking any medication that alters brain chemistry like anti-anxiety, anti-depressant, ADD, OCD medications, etc.
- Detached Retina
- Kidney disease
- High Blood Pressure
- Cardiovascular disease, including angina, previous heart attack or stroke
- Diagnosis of aneurysm in the brain or abdomen
- Uncontrolled thyroid conditions
- Severe Asthma— for mild to moderate asthma, we can discuss but you must bring your inhaler to the session
- History of Seizures
- Prior diagnosis of bipolar disorder, schizophrenia or previous psychiatric condition
- Any other medical, psychiatric or physical conditions which would impair or affect the ability to engage in any activities that involve deep physical and/or emotional release
