An Evening Class and Morning Class in Term 3: Neuroscience continues to reveal the power and importance of neuro-plasticity in building and maintaining our psychological well-being and our ability to cope with stress. This 8-week training course introduces some of these latest research findings and provides a practical framework for implementing them in our own daily lives.
The two-hour per-week for 8 weeks format and is a non-religious, practical skill-based workshop programme. It combines information and resources from the most recent research in brain science, psychology and the social sciences with simple daily techniques and guided practices in a supportive group setting that trains participants in the regulation of attention and builds a routine of individual practice.
Follow-up support meetings, annual workshops and silent retreats at the Tauhara Centre are available to those completing an introductory course.
