There are now over 4000 published research articles attesting to the therapeutic benefits of meditation for a wide range of physical and psychological conditions and it's compatibility and synergy with most forms of medical treatment.
This four-week course offers a thorough introductory grounding in the what, why and how of Mindfulness-based Stillness Meditation (MBSM), a type of mindfulness developed at the Gawler Cancer Foundation in Australia and recognised internationally by leaders in the field. (Part 2 goes further into emotions, awareness and finding stillness).
Each 2 hour class involves a mix of learning, discussion and practice. Each week builds on the previous ones, so that by the end of the course, you have a well- established and robust basis for a satisfying ongoing home practice.
