The Francis-Lee Duo, Charlotte Francis (violin) and Gemma Lee (piano), present a programme of violin and piano repertoire by two composers born 127 years apart, but who both left incredible musical legacies.
In honour of the great legacy of Beethoven, who celebrates his 250th birthday this year, they perform his violin sonatas in F major (Spring) and G major. The other is Erich Wolfgang Korngold who became one of the most important and influential composers in Hollywood history. His 'Much Ado About Nothing Suite' for violin and piano celebrates its 100th year of the publication in 2020.
