In the mid 1980’s Sue Pugmire & Frances Anderson played Friday Night Live Music in “The Raw & Juicy” & “Omni” cafes. Helen Cox & Pam Carson (now Waring) began to sit in, on harmonies -& “Circa” was born.
The group wrote originals, played songs by other NZ women (Mahinaarangi Tocker, Marion Arts, Kath Tait, & others), & specialised in 4 part harmony singing - often (but not always) with a thought-provoking or political bent, accompanied by guitars, sax & percussion.
This concert is a trip down ‘memory lane’ with the band getting together from far afield, to enjoy the songs, & each other, once more.
Entry: A koha - to help cover expenses, at the door.
