Dunedin musical collective Tiny Pieces of Eight return for a short NZ tour in the run-up to further travels to the U.K. They've developed an inventive set of original songs over the last 6 years playing together and have gained a strong following at festivals in New Zeland and Australia. The band's 3 songwriters include Deirdre Newall (bass, keyboards, vocals) Grant Ramsay (guitar, vocals) and Chris Schmelz (drums, guitar, vocals ) with Mitch Frew ( guitar ) and Rosa Cameron (double bass). Shifting from dark soulful folk to psychedelic noise and garage funk, Tiny Pieces of Eight blends brooding sonics with uplifting songwriting.
