British pop-rock tunesmith James Blunt is set to make his comeback in NZ, hitting Auckland and Christchurch this November 2020 in celebration of his latest album 'Once Upon A Mind'. Before the NZ dates, he will first be winding up events happening in Australia with Jason Mraz as special guest. He'll be performing two headline shows in Melbourne and Sydney as well as five A Day On The Green gigs in Perth, Tanunda, Yarra Valley, Hunter Valley and Brisbane.
Announced as Blunt's sixth studio album, 'Once Upon A Mind' was released last October 25 via Atlantic Records. It boasts a string of critically-acclaimed singles like 'The Truth', 'Champions', 'Monsters', 'Youngster' and many others. Moreover, the record was previewed with a soaring new track 'Cold' which is a circular nod to his global smash hit 'You're Beautiful'. It reflects where Blunt has come from—and where he's now going. "I'm back where I started," says he of his new material. "Writing songs for me and the people around me. And I'm free again."
It's been 15 years since fans first fell in love with the charming Blunt via his blockbuster 2004 debut album 'Back To Bedlam', and the global sensation 'You're Beautiful'. "After dipping his toes into the world of electronica", he has finally returned to writing honest, heartfelt songs. With over 23 million albums sold worldwide, not to mention five Grammy Award nominations, two BRIT Awards and two Ivor Novello Awards, James Blunt is now ready to dominate the world, once again, with his deeply personal 2019 album, 'Once Upon A Mind'.
