Throughout Annie’s career she has worked with natural therapies. With a background in the Health & Fitness Industry – yoga provided the meditation practice. Annie has studied massage, reiki, herbal medicine and explored tarot, runes and crystal healing and now bought everything together under one roof in – Whispered Secrets Yoga and Healing Centre.
It has always been important for Annie to create a sacred space for her healing work and yoga practice. Whispered Secrets is that sacred space. With an outlook onto the Kell Reserve in Albany Village – the space exudes tranquility and calm. A place to stop, recharge and replenish.
The Satyananda tradition of Hatha Yoga provides the basis for the classes at Whispered Secrets. The classes include asana (postures), pranayama (breathing practices) plus simple meditational and relaxation techniques.
Annie has teacher accreditation in Flow Yoga and has studied Yin Yoga which involves long, slow and deep stretches to target the hips and spine, Vinyasa and Power Yoga, as well as, Viniyoga where the focus is the adaptation of poses for individual needs. This background allows Annie to blend yoga styles depending on the group focus.
