There's a rich deliciousness in the music of Human Confusion.
It's like a Tiramisu. The beats and grooves are like the biscuits; the keyboard riffs and melodies are like the vanilla and cinnamon flavours delighting the palate, and the warm, smooth vocals evoke the coffee and rum permeating through the whole thing and making it unforgettable.
Their music is fun and upbeat but there's also a serious side with deeply personal songs that will draw out your emotions. This is your last chance to see Human Confusion live before they head into the studio to finish recording their album. Two singles and a video have already been released.
Human Confusion has been appearing at festivals and clubs around the country, and before lockdown hit, played several shows in Australia.
The vibe these two create at a live show is definitely not to be missed.
To begin the evening, a rare live performance by Fray, who will draw you in with her unique blend of humour and vulnerability. The songs are stripped back to a simple beat, live bass guitar, and looped vocal harmonies to fully reveal the beauty and richness of Miriam’s voice.
And to end the evening on a high, the dark dancefloor electronica of Robots In Love, the start of a Summer tour which will take in Dunedin, Oamaru and Wellington. Elenor has produced a collection of remixes this year, re-working tracks into her distinctive style, including NZ band Stars And The Underground, Australian act Caustic Grip and two award-winning bands from Sweden.
