Celebrate the season from two perspectives; two renditions of the Gloria, by Vivaldi and Poulenc, are followed by a plethora of festively themed pieces to usher in the flowering warmth of our southern hemisphere's yuletide. Featured amongst the seasonal works is Esenvalds' "Stars" accompanied by tuned wine glasses pitched in tonal clusters, painting the picture of a sparkling, starry night sky. Encounter the bleak midwinter, the silent night, and the carefree joy that spring brings with the choir not only placed in front, but for some arrangements, around the audience for a hypnotic surround-sound effect. Other composers include Handel, Holst and Rutter.
