Join us at OneOneSix Bank Street on Saturday 7th December for knowledge sharing and crafting over a cup of tea. We will be creating products for a more natural and sustainable home.
We will begin by making beeswax food wraps, using natural beeswax plus a special natural ingredient to help keep your wraps fresh. Beeswax wraps are an easy way to reduce the amount of plastic use in your kitchen. Great for holiday gifting and even as waste-free gift wrapping.
We will also create an all-natural general purpose cleaner, plus a health-promoting room spray, to clean and freshen your home without adding toxins to the air.
All materials will be provided, but to promote the eco-friendly theme, we encourage you to bring any thin cotton cloth (e.g. quilting fabric) off-cuts or pieces you may want to re-purpose. Also two empty/used spray bottles or jars to take home your cleaner and room spray.
Cost is $30 per person, with 20% going to the Friends of Matakohe/Limestone Island, an environmental and historic restoration project in the Whangarei Harbour.
