Over 5 days, students will be introduced to the world of mixology and bartending and gain an NZQA Accredited Micro-Credential with 5 Credits at Level 4.
The Certificate in Spirits, Cocktails, and Bartending (micro-credential) provides practical, hands-on training in bartending, product knowledge as well as customer service and communication skills for people wishing to work in bars and restaurants. Classic cocktails form the focus of this practical training.
- Identify and describe the key equipment and tools of a professional bar
- Identify and describe characteristics and production methods of the main spirits categories and liqueurs used in bars and restaurants
- Prepare classic cocktails served in bars and restaurants
