Challenge and enjoy yourself at the most unique, social and picturesque running event in NZ.
On the second Saturday of May each year, entrants have the opportunity to run / walk through privately owned vineyards by producers such as Cloudy Bay, Wairau River and of course Saint Clair Family Estate.
With the Wither Hills to the south, the Richmond Ranges to the north and the vineyards ablaze in their autumn colours, the Vineyard Half is the most scenic half marathon in New Zealand.
There are plenty of treats to experience around the course, from tasting local produce like chocolate, honey or ice cream, to being entertained by one of our amazing bands. Did I mention that we have our very own Drag Queen?
Every finisher will receive a trophy bottle of Saint Clair Family Estate wine and the chance to relax amongst the vines of the winery’s cellar door, partake in some yoga, and try some of the many delicious treats on offer at the finish line.
And now new for 2020, you can enjoy the same breath-taking scenery as the half marathon but avoid those last killer kms. Introducing the Appleby Farms V12.
The new 12km course includes a pre-race party and live entertainment at the start line, on course surprise and food treats. You too will also get the trophy bottle of Saint Clair Family Estate wine as you cross the finish line.
Grab your besties and come and join us in stunning Marlborough, at the Vineyard Half or V12.
See you at the Finish Wine!
“The weather and scenery were stunning, the tastings and entertainment great and the atmosphere of fun and friendliness just perfect.” - Anne A, Christchurch
“I am almost lost for words to describe the amazing event you put on for the Saint Clair Vineyard Half Marathon. I have been trying to think of what the ultimate best part of the day was and it’s very hard – the salmon - the gelato - the full-sized bottle of wine at the finish - the coffees – the banjo player - the bagpipes - the list goes on. A huge thank you for one of the best days of my life – one I will treasure and remember for a long long time.” - Wendy B, Nelson
