Join rongoā practitioners as they celebrate Matariki and puaka rising to signal the Maori New Year. We will be planting native trees and shrubs into the Rongoā Garden and we’d love your help. This planting event is suitable for families and is also one of our Children’s University accredited events.
Park and meet at 303 Radcliffe Road where you will have a chance to explore our Whare Matariki installation. Then it’s an easy 5 - 10-minute walk to the planting site. For those coming late, there is limited parking at the Rongoa Garden accessible from 565R Marshlands Road.
Dress warmly with sturdy footwear, gumboots and warm layers recommended.
