This year marks a milestone for Aikido Shinryukan‘s founder and technical director, Shihan Nobuo Takase, celebrating his 50th Anniversary of teaching Aikido in NZ.
Shihan Takase‘s achievements will be recognised during the 50th International Gasshuku (Seminar) being held over the weekend of 6–8 March. During this event, international and local guest instructors, including practitioners from all over the world and of all levels will come together to train.
On Sunday the 8th from 2:30 pm to 4 pm there will be a series of Aikido demonstrations performed by local and overseas practitioners and by some of the worlds best Aikidoka. This demonstration is open to the public and you are welcome to come along to see what Aikido is all about.
For those of you with children that are interested in learning a martial art there will also be a showcase children's class (from 2-2.30 pm) before the main demonstrations.
