Retreats offer us a chance to immerse ourselves in these healing practices and gain the healing powers that nature can offer. This creates an ideal setting to cleanse the body and mind from daily distractions and help to connect deeper into our being.
Joan has twenty five years experience of teaching yoga and embodying the practices of Ayurveda and cleansing. In this five day yoga retreat, we will practice yoga, pranayama, and meditation twice daily and enjoy vegan and Ayurvedic cuisine from a local private chef.
The practices will be designed to help release stagnant and blocked energy from the body and mind, and Maruia will provide an exquisite landscape for you to relax and nourish yourself! Excursions will be offered including walking, hiking, kayaking, and even white water rafting or choose to relax by the river and enjoy the sauna to help the detox process along!
Joan will also have classes on living an Ayurvedic lifestyle and how to eat according to what your dosha is, which is your individual blueprint. You will leave this retreat feeling amazing as you gain the clarity and the inspiration that cleanses and retreats offer to the mind, body, and soul!
