This workshop will give you the opportunity to get creative in an inspiring and relaxed environment. The focus is to experiment and explore natural processes that include elements such as sea water, rust, flowers, leaves and more on fabrics and paper.
We will wander over to the beach collecting water and sticks for our rust dyeing. You will get your hands on to a variety of rust making techniques such as bundling, wrapping and the 1 2 3 rust method on cottons, linens, silk paper.
After unwrapping our goodies from day 1 we are getting into beat of extracting colour form found leaves and flowers (by beating!). In the afternoon we will have fun with basic monoprint techniques using grasses, flowers etc on our rusted fabrics/papers.
