Join the worldwide celebrations for International Day of Yoga 2019 with an afternoon of dynamic and restorative yoga for all levels, hosted by Meditation New Zealand.
The International Day of Yoga was initiated by the Indian government with the United Nations in 2015, and is now celebrated annually by millions around the world.
Derived from Sanskrit, the word yoga means to unite. It is with this spirit in mind that everyone is invited to take part in this community conscious event and contribute to world peace and harmony.
Attend yoga classes by leading New Zealand Yogini Nikki Ralston and prominent Australian Yogini and Ayurvedic expert Samantha Doyle. Explore inner peacefulness with meditation sessions and talks on yoga wisdom. Finish the day with a vegetarian/vegan meal, snacks and chai at the Yoga Café. Enjoy live performances by New Zealand’s leading kirtan band, Vibha and the Mantra Band.
Whether you’re new to yoga or an experienced practitioner there is something for all levels.
