The nationwide #1 event on Eventfinda is back!

Last September the Waikato Cherry Tree Festival was the #1 event on Eventfinda, attracting thousands of people from near and far to celebrate the arrival of spring in a multicultural carnival setting. This year the event is even bigger and offers new multicultural entertainment as well as old favourites like stilt walkers, Japanese drummers, Chinese fan dancers and kapa haka performances, and activities for the kids like face painting, pony rides and bubble blowing.

This festival is the perfect day out for young and old, families, couples and friends. The cherry tree avenue with its myriad of blossoms creating a canopy of pink hues is the most stunning backdrop for family pictures and beautiful portraits.
Choose from international foods, book a High Tea or bring a picnic to enjoy under the blooming cherry trees. Go for a stroll in the beautifully landscaped gardens with a multitude of flowers, little waterfalls and features like rugged drystone walls. Doubtlessly one of the most picturesque events in the world, this is a place for which many people from different cultures like to dress up, and it is here where communities come together and celebrate together their traditions and the beauty of nature.
