In her new book of poetry, How I Get Ready, she explores various ways of dealing with the uncertainties that underlie both poetry and everyday life.

Ashleigh won a Windham-Campbell Prize and the 2017 Royal Society Te Ap?rangi Award for General Non-Fiction for Can You Tolerate This? She works as an editor and lives in Wellington.
