Gisborne Unity Theatre presents Joe Landry's play, 'Vintage Hitchcock', in which spies, murder, love and other trademarks of Alfred Hitchcock come to life in the style of a 1940s radio broadcast of the master of suspense's earlier films. With 'The Lodger', 'Sabotage' and 'The 39 Steps', this play is a triple feature, complete with vintage commercials, that recreates a daring train chase, a serial killer's ominous presence and a devastating explosion through the magic of live sound effects and musical underscoring.
This production is performed in Gisborne Unity Theatre's own 'black box' theatre and is directed by Gina Ferkins. The cast of seven actors play all of the numerous roles and make accompanying sound effects. This is an amateur production by arrangement with ORiGiN(tm) Theatrical, on behalf of Playscripts, Inc.
There will also be door sales, subject to availability. Arrival in good time is recommended, as the doors will be closed promptly on time.
