A group of Wellington musicians known as the Zimmermans blast their way through the songs of Bob Dylan. From his folky days to electric blues, from whispering love songs to rants against the man, this eight piece band will provide an aural window into the work of one of the world's great songwriters.
Who's in the band, I hear you say. Well, think of a mixed gender disparate collection from such bands as the Mockers, Sneaky Feelings, Let's Planet, Dunstan Rangers, Wooden Box Band and others of their ilk and you get a few clues. Instrumentation includes the usual drums, bass and guitars, but also keyboards, sax and trumpet. The Zimmermans have lots of harmonies too - and you can feel free to sing along with this celebration of the Bob man's work and his influence on the music of the world.
