Te Ara Kakariki are working hard to improve biodiversity in Canterbury by creating a native corridor of green dots, linking the mountains to the sea and Lake Ellesmere. So far we have planted at 73 greedot sites. Join us for a volunteer planting day at two green dot sites in either TaiTapu or Lincoln. An ecologist will introduce you to the site and give a planting demonstration. Spades and gloves are supplied as well as food.
We provide buses from eight sites around Christchurch, please select the stop nearest to you when registering. Buses will pick you up between 8am and 8:45am and return you back between 4:30 and 5pm.
We provide morning and afternoon tea as well as lunch. Please advise of dietary restrictions when registering. Drinking water and hot drinks will also be available.
