Have you ever wanted to try improvising on stage but got scared? Social Improv Now welcomes performers of all skill levels to a social jam. Bring your friends, get up and out of your comfort zone by playing fun games and scenes. Improvisation is theatre by committee and encourages taking risks, loving each other (and yourself) as well as improving your public speaking skills.

During SIN you’re in good hands with host Steven Lyons (warm-up guy for The Project, member of the Improv Bandits, Chicago trained improviser and improv teacher for 15 years), BUT this show isn’t about him, it’s about YOU! Audience members who want to are invited up to perform a variety of short improvised games and scenes.

All skill levels welcome, whether you’ve taken classes, performed with friends or headlined improv festivals or have just always wanted to give it a try. It’s joy, connection and passion, while feeling safe to make delightful choices on stage in front of a supportive crowd.

There is no pressure to get up, you can be part of the show just by watching and having a good time. Come, laugh, and applaud people making it up right before your eyes.

Nominated for Best Improv show (NZ Comedy Guild Award 2018).
It's much better to SIN together… at A Social Improv Now.
Presales: $12 online. $15 cash on door.

SIN is part of Paper Goat - Together, our goal is to make fun and interactive ways of supporting, consuming and creating all manner of art.
