It's Spring. Daffodils bloom, jackets are stuffed back in closets, comedians work on their material for the open mic at Yonder (the last one happens every season but it's probably also the best one so we thought we'd mention it anyway). Come along in October for a celebration of the wonder of spring, cleverly disguised as just a regular open mic comedy night that doesn't really have much to do with spring at all but the person writing the Eventfinda blurb needed something to hang it on.
Remarkably Funny is proud to present Queenstown's only regular comedy show. We mash together a mix of local up-and-comers and national and international visiting comedians in a monthly night of hilarity, which is fast becoming a Queenstown institution. This month's MC is Tim Müller - scientist by day, comedian by night, quite good at making pancakes the following morning. There won't be any pancakes though - not sure why we even mentioned that.
The last 9 shows have all sold out. Buy early or miss out. Note that the venue has a mix of seated and standing spaces, and a ticket doesn't guarantee you a seat (let us know if you really need a seat and we’ll reserve you a spot). Show starts 8 pm sharp, and we recommend getting there early to get a good spot.
We're always looking for new comedians! If you'd like to give it a crack, get in touch: firstname.lastname@example.org – we’d especially love to hear from more female performers.
