The annual Plate of Origin competition showcasing the best food from across New Zealand is back for 2019.
Hosted in Manawatu, eight local restaurants have partnered up with eight of the best restaurants from around the country to collaborate on one main dish. Each partnership will produce a plate that highlights two key ingredients, representing the partner restaurant’s region and Manawatu-Whanganui.
Try a Plate of Origin dish at any participating restaurant between Saturday 2 - Saturday 16 March 2019 and experience some of the best food from across New Zealand.
The Plate of Origin will be available in all participating Manawatu restaurants for dinner throughout New Zealand AgriFood Week. Opening hours vary between restaurants and we recommend making bookings early at your restaurant of choice. Each dish will be priced accordingly, though will fall within $32-$45.
