Taranaki Symphony Orchestra celebrates 50 years to the day since the first man stepped onto the moon, with a visual spectacular conducted by Adam Jasinski.
Stunning projections accompany a programme of classical and contemporary favourites, from Haydn to Holst, Dvorak to David Bowie, Strauss to Star Wars and Star Trek. Soprano Philippa Drinkwater sings “Song to the Moon” and Sam Egli the iconic “Space Oddity”, and pianist Denise Wood plays the ravishing “Claire de Lune”.
