About the day course:
This is a very special opportunity to develop and improve your mindfulness both in and out of meditation, and to learn how to use mindfulness in everyday life. You will also experience the deep inner peace that comes from a concentrated mind.
This silent day retreat will include detailed instructions on training in mindfulness and guided meditations. Our Resident Teacher, Kelsang Luma will guide five short meditation sessions to help lead the mind to a state of deep concentration and peace.
The environment of Kalpa Bhadra Buddhist Centre is very relaxing and there is plenty of time between retreat sessions to go for a walk, read and contemplate in silence. You’ll even have the option to securely put away your phone for the day to help stop distractions!
Cost includes morning and afternoon tea. Please bring your own lunch to enjoy at the Centre or there are cafes nearby.

What to expect at a class:
These classes are based on Buddha’s teachings on the mind, but you do not need to be a Buddhist to attend or to benefit from them.
There is no physical exercise involved and you can choose to sit either in a chair or on a cushion. These classes are suitable for all levels of experience.
