This event is a weekly drop in class. Each class consists of a guided meditation and a talk based on Buddhist wisdom. Classes are suitable for everyone. Join in any week, booking is not required. With Buddhist Nun Kelsang Luma.

Class topics:
Habits of Happy People – week of 3 June to week of 24 June 4 weeks

We all have habits that seem hard to break. Unfortunately, many of these habits also make us unhappy or even harm our health. Even though we try very hard, sometimes we feel helpless to change.

Through practicing Buddha’s teachings, we can gain confidence in our potential to change. We can then replace even our most stubborn habits with profoundly beneficial ways of thinking that lead only to peace and happiness.

5 Jun – Consideration for others
12 Jun – Joy
19 Jun – Humility
26 Jun – Rejoicing

The Path to Compassion - week of 26 August to week of 16 September 4 weeks

What is compassion? Learn how to develop this heartfelt mind so you can really benefit others.

28 Aug - What is compassion?
4 Sept - Taking away the suffering of others
11 Sept - Giving others real happiness
18 Sept - Developing a supreme inner peace

What to expect at a class:
These classes are based on Buddha’s teachings on the mind, but you do not need to be a Buddhist to attend or to benefit from them. Each class consists of two guided meditations and an explanatory talk.

The classes run for 90 minutes. Anyone can practise meditation and everyone is welcome to attend. There is no physical exercise involved and you can choose to sit either in a chair or on a cushion.

These classes are suitable for all levels of experience.
