IVES The Unanswered Question
MOZART Requiem

Soloists Anna Leese, Bianca Andrew, Jared Holt and Paul Whelan join wiht the Christchurch Symphony Orchestra and Chorus to perform Mozart's Requiem.

Commissioned by a mysterious stranger to compose a Requiem Mass, Mozart died before he was able to complete what many consider to be his magnum opus. These shadowy and tragic circumstances have only added to the mystique of this compelling and deeply personal work.

American composer Charles Ives wrote The Unanswered Question in 1906 as part of a suite titled Two Contemplations. This short work is deeply reverential, incorporating hymn-like qualities that encourage us to ponder the eternal question of existence.

Wheelchair and companion tickets are $16.50 each plus fees. To book, call the Eventfinda phone sales team on 0800 289 849 or email support@eventfinda.co.nz.
