As in any country the food of Japan is a much celebrated part of Japanese culture and reflects something of the way people think and look at the world. This course will introduce common ingredients and equip you with the skills and knowledge to create simple but delicious Japanese dishes.
Each class we will cook 2 or 3 different dishes and taste test them all! These will include: curries, stews and desserts using “An” a red bean paste. You will also learn some special culinary techniques that will add flourish and flare to your party dishes! For those that are interested we may plan for an additional session in which we take a trip to Kosco!
Please bring an extra $15 to cover the cost of ingredients. You won’t need to bring lunch! Kazuko is an accomplished Japanese cook and teaches many aspects of Japanese culture.
