April 22nd is World Earth Day, and to celebrate UniqueVille & Humblebee Market are sponsoring the first ever Hunterville Clothes Swap!
Re-using clothes helps the environment by..
- Reducing industrial wastes from the clothing industry including 2.5 billion waste water and 15.1 million of textile waste annually (in China alone)
- Less clothing ending up in landfills
- Combating consumerism which can persuade people to compromise on their ecological principles
There are going to be two!!
A Women’s Clothes Swap *and* a Children’s Clothes Swap please note these are on two separate days. This event is for the Women's Clothes Swap.
(For the Children’s Clothes Swap please see separate event).
How does it work??
To be a part of either of these events you need to donate a minimum of 10 items of good clothing, washed, no stains, rips or broken zips before Wednesday 17th April. So for the Women’s event you need to donate women’s clothing and for the Children’s - children’s clothes.
These need to be given in to Humblebee Market and then you will receive your ticket number [don’t loose it]. On the day you will relax in the comfortable outdoor seating at Humblebee Market Courtyard and enjoy the delicious grazing platters. Every 10mins from the start time we will call out 3/4 random ticket numbers and you will get 10mins inside to choose your 10 free items!
Please note: You cannot turn up randomly on the day! You must have dropped off your clothes prior and have a ticket.
