A night of New Zealand's finest underground rappers. Limited $10 tickets.
Stack those cards right to make a full house.
We've got not one, but six of the country's most explosive hip hop acts, representing all the way from Auckland to Dunedin to converge for one night only. Huge!
First off is our headliner: the multi-talented and elusive Dharmarat.
One of the genre's hardest workers, having just hit 100k streams on his most recent album, 'Now What?', the Auckland local has been steadily grinding, writing raps and producing songs with some of the scene's brightest lights this year. He hasn't played in Wellington since 2016, and is relishing the opportunity to show off his bouncy new work to some fresh and old faces. We can't wait to see what he has in store for us...
Next to emerge from the smoke is Nug City's most notorious rap crew, the one and only Nevernotblazed. Fronted by ringleader and underground King, Hxrman, NNB have been at the forefront of phonk and trap music since its very inception, having produced a whole backlog of serious quality mixtapes. Going through a number of lineup changes in recent years, they have now settled on a roster featuring Hxrman, Stonrsmurf, Lowc8, K4m3 and Kil.6, making their serious intent well known.
We also have Lil Dust - Xanny Pacquiao himself, the microphone champion. An imposing stage presence, Dust has been muscling his way to the forefront of the rap scene through a string of great releases, including the Tommy II-produced West Coast slapper, 'Perc', which has garnered over 30k streams each on Spotify and YouTube. With his southern drawl and bouncy 808s, you can expect a high-energy set from this talented Dunedin local.
Furthermore, we have Ghost Media CEO, event organiser and NVRSFT rapper - Young Gho$t. Since dropping 'Session Muzik' in March, he has been quietly working on a follow-up, which may well be ready in time for this show. A natural lyricist and assured stage presence, Gho$t has been a potent force in the Wellington hip hop scene, and will use this night as an opportunity to showcase his style.
He will be flanked by Chronic Shnxman, his longtime friend/collaborator, and head of NVRSFT records. Shnxman has become known for his uncompromising, brutal and emotively raw sound, which he wears on his sleeve. His next album, Gastroenteritis pt. II, is out in September, leaving no doubt as to his work ethic. At Full House, he will give us all a glimpse into his twisted mind.
Last, but certainly not least, is Young N*sane, the newest and first female member of Wellington's notorious hip hop collective, Oneroof. Since hitting the scene this year, Young N*Sane has been swiftly earning props far and wide with her smooth delivery and natural energy, showing a lot of male rappers how its done. Here at Full House, she will show exactly why she has been picking up such accolades, delivering a set filled with bouncy bangers and old school classics.
