This course is great for students eager to explore painting or drawing the portrait. Using a photo reference (students own or tutor provided), students will be introduced to the structure of the head, facial features as well as offering tips and methods for correct lighting, shading and colour choices.

This class will cover the methods that simplify the challenge of capturing a likeness. All abilities are welcome as the class is structured to give one on one instruction to each student. Come and learn about your chosen medium (oil, acrylic or pastel) and how to create timeless and expressive portraiture step by step.

About the tutor:
Nicole Peacock spent many years studying and teaching drawing and painting in New York and London. She was traditionally trained (MFA - New York Academy of Figurative Art) and loves to share what she has learnt with others. Nicole simplifies techniques with a step-by-step approach making learning clear and fun.
