Come along and join us for our planting day at Springs Flat Road and bring the whole whanau along!
We want to restore the health of the Waitaua Awa, stop erosion, sediment and nutrient loads and restore the overall health of the Whangarei Falls /Otuihau.
All the plants are eco-sourced and have been grown in our community nursery He Kakano in Whangarei. Trees are funded through the Matariki Tu Rākau programme.
Matariki Tu Rākau supports communities to come together to plant trees and create living memorials 100 years after the First World War, as a part of the One Billion Tree Programme.
Food will be provided by the amazing Palate Wholefood Collective so please indicate whether you are coming and we will provide food for everyone involved!
What to bring:

- Sturdy shoes
