Join us for the movie screening of Judy for the Cancer Society Night at the Movies and dress to impress in a rainbow of colours!
Directed by Rupert Goold and adapted from Peter Quilter’s play End of the Rainbow, the latest celebrity biopic Judy follows Judy Garland as she performs her final shows in London in 1968, 30 years after the actress’ Wizard of Oz success.
Renee Zellweger delivers a heartfelt performance described by the NZ Herald as "show-stopping Oscar bait" includes some of Garland’s best-known songs including “Somewhere Over the Rainbow”.
The Cancer Society is proud to present our youth ambassador, singer Sophie Turner who will perform for us as a preview to the movie.
Ticket includes a glass of bubbles or orange juice and nibbles. Spot prizes will be awarded for those embracing the rainbow theme and our auctioneer Stefan McNeely from Mike Pero will be auctioning off a weekend's accommodation and breakfast for two at one of their Rydges Hotels & Resorts in New Zealand or Australia.
