With Wellington’s population forecast to continue growing in coming years, the Government has committed to work with Wellington City Council both to prevent an Auckland-style housing crisis and to address the capital’s traffic congestion issues. Tasked with overseeing progress on both fronts is Economic Development, Urban Development, and Transport Minister, Hon. Phil Twyford.
Join us on Wednesday 24 July at PwC to hear the Minister present his plans for tackling these projects. He will be touching on portfolio related issues topical to Wellington Businesses, Wellington transport and infrastructure (particularly Let’s Get Wellington Moving), as well as the Well-being Budget and what that means for infrastructure/transport investments.
Hon. Phil Twyford was born and raised in Auckland. He is the Labour Member of Parliament for Te Atatu, where he lives. Phil’s vision is for New Zealand to deliver hope and opportunity to all people. He is committed to fixing the housing and transport problems that affect our capital city, as well as much of the rest of the country.
The morning will begin with a buffet breakfast and an opportunity to connect and network with fellow Wellington business people.
