An extraordinary weekend with International Guest teacher Marc Holzman. "How do we live an optimal human life?"
Ayurveda and Yoga are inseparable sister sciences that merge seamlessly to find answers to this age-old question. Marc Holzman is a certified Ayurveda practitioner with over 18 years’ experience teaching Hatha Yoga and Meditation.
Ayurveda is India’s 5,000 year old health care philosophy. At its very core it teaches us to live in accordance with Nature’s rhythms, for this is the key to aging gracefully. Our sessions will integrate basic Ayurveda theory with Hatha Yoga, meditation, mantra and Yoga Nidra.
The intention is to create a comprehensive, nourishing and challenging yoga practice for all levels while providing you with practical and accessible tools to accelerate your wellness path through Ayurveda. Each session will open with a vibrant lecture on an aspect of Ayurveda followed by a yoga practice that embodies our lesson.

9th August 6-8.30pm - "Introduction to Ayurveda Lecture & Yoga Nidra"
After a brief lecture on the genesis of Ayurveda, we dive into a delicious, restful Yoga Nidra to align with the kapha time of day. Ayurveda Focus: History and Purpose of Ayurveda + Introduction 20 Guna Theory
10th August 10am-12:30pm - "The daily habits of Ayurveda & Nourishing backbend practice"
Backbends open the Heart Fire and Solar Plexus to increase vitality, passion and metabolism. Here we expand the front body while strengthening the posterior muscles for support. Ayurveda Focus: Dinacharya – The Daily Habits of Ayurveda and the 24 Hour Dosha Clock.
10th August 2-4:30pm "Ayurvedic self care and yoga practice of deep hip openers, forward folds, mantra & meditation."
A nourishing, quiet, practice of great depth to anchor, align and elevate body, mind & heart.Ayurveda Focus: Demo of Ayurveda Self Care practices: self-massage, nasal oiling, sense organ care.
Sunday 11th August 11am-1:30pm - "Twists and Core practice and understanding metabolism & digestion."
Agni (FIRE) is praised in Ayurveda as the power of healthy digestion. A practice of deep twists and core work are essential to purify the organs and keep your digestive fire burning brightly and efficiently. Ayurveda Focus: Understanding metabolism and digestion.
Marc is a certified Ayurveda practitioner with over 18 years’ experience teaching Hatha Yoga and Meditation. He currently lives in both L.A. and Paris for greater access to the workshops, teacher trainings, and retreats he teaches across the globe.
