Welcome to our August programme. We start with the always interesting Open Mic session at 4pm - whether it be poetry, other spoken word, or music, we love to share! Then we move on to showcase our guest artists from 5pm.

First Rob Joass, a singer/songwriter who works with his solo project, Rob Joass & The Small Mercies, as well as with his bands Hobnail, Too Many Chiefs, & The Shot Band. His third solo album, Pencarrow, was released in March & has been described as ‘beautifully done’. He tours regularly around NZ & to Australia & is a 3-time NZ Music Awards finalist.

He's followed by our poet Rachel Doré. For Rachel, poetry is 'in her marrow'. A recovering Aucklander now living in rural Manawatu, she keeps promising herself she’ll learn how to ‘take it easy’.

But as a writer, performer, artist, creativity coach, facilitator of two Feilding writing groups & one of the volunteer radio presenters for MPR, (Manawatu’s People’s Radio), she's not doing too well with that!

We don't mind...
