Join us on the opening day of Zina Swanson's exhibition 'For VIvian' for a talk and tour with Zina in conversation with curator Melanie Oliver.

The talk will be followed by a visit to Riddiford Conservatory in the gardens across the road from The Dowse.

Vivian Wiley can communicate with plants, perhaps we all can.

In 1973, a book called 'The Secret Life of Plants' described experiments showing how plants respond to humans and experience feelings, such as pain or fear, maybe even love. Drawing on the psychology of plants and theories of plant perception, Zina Swanson presents a body of work 'For Vivian', a window into the world of plant paranormal and our reciprocal relationships with nature.
