Auckland Central Volleyball Club presents the 2019 Summer Series of Beach Volleyball.
Improve your sand skills with beach volleyball training! This workshop is ideal for new players that have minimal experience with beach volleyball or want to start from the basics. In this 8 session program, we'll go through all the basic skills involved in two-a-side beach volleyball, allowing you to gain a comprehensive understanding of the game. And to have some fun while at it! To get the most off the workshop, you should plan to attend all sessions
Your sessions with FIVB coach Dani will include a combination of: warm up/physical exercise, drills for passing, setting, serving, attacking; and some tactical knowledge of the game itself.
Your registration gives you access to this calendar of training sessions. On Sundays after training, you can immediately put your new skills into practice on our social nets for no additional cost.
Wednesday 6 Feb 5 pm - 6:30 pm: Welcome to the beach / Develop good habits, Bump/dig day
Sunday 10 Feb 2 pm - 3:30 pm: Focus on knees / Balance, Bump/dig + Set
Wednesday 13 Feb 5 pm - 6:30 pm: Focus on Hips / Gluts, Serve / Receive
Sunday 17 Feb 2 pm - 3:30 pm: Focus on Core / Attack
Wednesday 20 Feb 5 pm - 6:30 pm: Focus on Shoulders/Chest / High defense
Sunday 14 Feb 2 pm - 3:30 pm: Focus on Arms / Other attacks
Wenesday 27 Feb 5 pm - 6:30 pm: Focus on Joint warm up / Block/Defense integration
Sunday 3 Mar 2 pm - 3:30 pm: Focus on Animals warm up / Communication
Registration essential, numbers strictly limited, no walk-ups can be accepted. Registration closes ~24 hours prior to the event to ensure numbers are met.
