Whangaroa ANZAC Dawn Service 2018. Otangaroa Marae (599 Otangaroa Rd).
The Whangaroa Armed Services Commemorations were established to remember the centenary of World War I and honour the fallen soldiers from the Whangaroa county.
The marae based dawn service is a community initiative whereby volunteer marae would host Whangaroa masses. The service was first held by Karangahape Marae (Matangirau) in 2015, followed by Te Huia Marae (Pupuke) in 2016 and last year hosted by Te Tapui Marae (Matauri).
The service is a public service and all are welcome.
We thank the Whangaroa community for their continued support over the past four years.
