We invite you to join us for a night to discuss the differences and similarities of the wine production in New Zealand and Spain. We will have the privilege to welcome two very special guests to discuss the wines and the theme of the evening:
- Alistair Gardner (Viticulturist and Winemaker at Grava Wines in Martinborough) - Alistair has spent over ten years working extensively across various wine regions in Spain, including Galicia, Segovia, Toro, and Malaga. He brings this broad experience with different climatic regions, diverse grape varieties, and varied winemaking traditions to a New Zealand region renowned for high-quality wine production.
- Thorsten Kuehler (Sommelier and Sales Consultant at boutique wine merchant Great Little Vineyards) - Thorsten has a long a successful career in the world of wine, from a Michelin-star restaurant, working under the mentoring of Germany’s first Master Sommelier Hendrik Thoma,
to travelling Europe to discover the wines of the old world and finally to Great Little Vineyards (aka Kemp Wine Merchants) where he discovers the best of every part of the world to the best restaurants and wine boutiques in New Zealand.
