We are thrilled to announce New Zealand’s newest and most exciting wine festival: The World of Wine Festival.
The World of Wine Festival is New Zealand's first ever showcase of purely international wines. Where usually these events focus in on the wines from New Zealand and Australia, The World of Wine Festival is a celebration of the great wines from all around the world of wine - completing the story.
It aims to highlight the brilliant and exciting wines from all corners of the globe. We hope to to open your eyes to not just new producers and wineries but to grapes, regions, and styles.
In the Tasting Hall, there will be over 140 wines on the floor for you to taste from 14 countries! Even more await you at the revolving wine bar and in the Master Classes.
Tickets start at just $45/pp and all include a Riedel Ouverture Glass (RRP: $25) to taste with, and take home after, and unlimited tastes in the Tasting Hall.
World leading wine experts from around NZ and the world will be hosting a range of specialised Master Classes. In these classes you will be guided through at least 6 wines that centre on a specific themes such as: ‘Georgia: The Birthplace of Wine’ and ‘New York Wine’.
Tickets for Master Classes will be $25 a ticket, or $20 when bought with a General Admission ticket.
We are particularly thrilled to announce that we will have two exclusive, and limited, experiences: Firstly, A Mas de Daumas Gassac Vertical tasting. Samuel Guibert, head-winemaker, will be flying over especially for this event to host a multi-vintage tasting of their legendary Grand Vin Blanc and Rouge wines which have been compared to the First Growths of Bordeaux.
Secondly, a Riedel Sensory Workshop where you will be guided through their premium range of grape-varietal specific glassware and understand the importance of top-quality glassware and the difference between them all.
The cost for the Riedel Sensory Workshop will be $80 a ticket but will include all of the three wine glasses (RRP $180) used in the workshop to take home.

The World of Wine Festival will be held in the beautiful and central location of AUT’s Auckland City Campus main foyer. This is located opposite the Auckland Art Gallery and Albert Park.
There are two sessions: Saturday the 12th and Sunday the 13th of May 2018. Sessions are from 12-6pm, with Master Classes every hour.
