Everyone has a story.

Circa One.
Preview 6 July.

From the team who brought Circa audiences A Doris Day Special, Legendary Divas and Bombshells, comes this critically-acclaimed, one woman play starring Ali Harper (Best Actress – Chapman Tripp Theatre Awards and United Solo Festival New York).

‘In this country, people are always talkin’ about dreams. You can be your dream. You can have your dream. You can live the dream. But that’s just a clever way of gettin’ people to shut up and stop complainin’.

Songs for Nobodies shares five life-changing encounters between five everyday women whose lives have been touched in some way by five legendary divas; Judy Garland, Patsy Cline, Edith Piaf, Billie Holiday and Maria Callas.

The singer has her story and the listener hers, and should these touch each other, there can be magic.

“…truly astonishing acting and singing tour-de-force.” - The Christchurch Press 2017

“You would be mad not to go and sparkle in Ali Harper’s light.” - Theatreview 2017

“Profound, ironical, funny, moving and ultimately astonishing, Songs For Nobodies is outstanding entertainment.” - Manawatu Standard 2017
