Our maiden voyage to The Butter Factory.
Pretty excited to be playing with top Whangarei Band Farandicus.
Formed in the summer of 2018 "Sojourn” is a break away project founded by Tony Baker. James Finlay, Annaree Peters and Isaac Hunter.
After a number of outings at the Mangawhai Tavern and a few other venues, the band are ready to hit the Butter Factory stage in June.
Sojourn play a mixture of covers with a special twist, namely a fusion of rock and reggae aswell as an ever growing list of catchy originals. In the space of 3 months the band have written a bunch of new songs, including “Moonbeams” and “For the thousandth time”.
Farandicus are a seven-piece band based in Northland, New Zealand. Combining the varied musical backgrounds of all members, the Farandicus sound is smooth, clean and soulful. Currently at work on their first full length release, the group plays a a tight set of original music. Their songs are varied, and can be hard to pin down to a specific genre, but the soul and funk influences shine through most clearly. (http://farandicus.com/ )
