Meet the team responsible for Pop-up Globe’s spectacular fourth Auckland season in our exclusive pre-show talk series. Featuring a wide range of practitioners, each talk will be focused on both that evening’s performance and their work in general. Relaxed, informal, informative and fun, this is your chance to uncover what really goes into making a production at Pop-up Globe.
Pop-up Globe’s fight director Alexander Holloway will discuss the process of making Richard III and offer insight into his creative and practical process across four seasons of Pop-up Globe, which has included choreographing fights involving hand-to-hand combat, rapier and dagger, sword and shield, and siege ladders and flaming arrows. He will also talk about his role in developing some of the special onstage practical effects that audiences enjoy so much.
